WERNER & SANDRA
Werner and Sandra are a team. Through and through. They have been married since 2012, and have two children together who are themselves, very bright and talented!
Sandra has been practising art for as long as she can remember, dabbling in many mediums, but none quite as rewarding as hand torn collage. Each finished piece is countless hours of sorting through images and text from up-cycled books and magazines, transforming cast off literature into custom, one of a kind pieces of fine art!
Werner has always enjoyed using various materials in order to create and build beautiful and useful items with is hands. He took a shine to metal working which grew into a passion for backyard blacksmithing in his free time. He built on his natural ability to manipulate metal, and took a class at N.A.I.T. (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) to boost his skills and understanding of his chosen media. Werner, like Sandra, uses scrap metal, salvaging old nails, re-bar, railroad spikes etc. into functional and affordable items for everyday use!
